Mousetrap Cars
For the energy in motion project we studied energy and forces and how they interact. We created mousetrap cars that used elastic potential energy and raced them. My group decided to be extra awesome and make a really big car that a human could ride around in. We weren't entirely successful but we did learn a lot about force, particularly how the normal force of a thin piece of wood can't overcome the force of a few cinderblocks.
