Reflection
Currently I'm not proficient at anything in regards to Spanish. I am decent at memorizing scripts for plays and the like, so I tried to use the same techniques when studying for this video in order to build the vocabulary I needed to communicate. I think I was semi-understandable but I probably butchered the grammar, which I still find confusing.I think that, for basic communication, simply knowing enough nouns and verbs to begin to describe what you want to say will be the hardest. You probably need at least 1000 words to be able to truly hold a conversation and there isn't any other way to learn those words then by memorizing them. My grandad is from Spain and worked as a Spanish teacher for most of his life so outside of school when I go to his house (which is fairly often) I want to try to practice my Spanish with him, both because talking to an being around someone who is fluent will increase my skills and because he really wants me to learn Spanish. I also plan to use Duolingo to help build my vocabulary. I'd like to give a shout out to Alden A. for being a great partner and being willing to talk endlessly about dogs.
